For those of you who know Ethan he can be kinda "smooth" with the ladies! :) He's consistantly had a girlfriend since he was 3 or 4. It all started at "Little Alfa" with a very cute little girl named Lauren Lamb. Ethan and Lauren were the best of friends. He even invited her to his birthday party at the bowling alley. Then she left to go to big girl school and he found Sarah Grace Daniels. She was his girlfriend at "Little Alfa" until they both left to go to big school. It didn't take him long in Kindergarten to find another girlfriend, Peyton Thomas who he kept the whole year until one day Mrs. Myrick told them they were too young to be boyfriend/girlfriend and Peyton needed to hold her head up instead of leaning on Ethan's shoulder. So, they had to "break up". He still secretly called her his girlfriend. Peyton's mom asked her if she could only choose ONE person in the whole wide world to invite to her birthday party who would it be? She said Efan! (He wasn't able to go to her party, we already had plans to attend another little boy's party) Now, that the new school year has started and he's in first grade, he and Peyton aren't in the same class anymore so he's been on a mission to find a NEW girlfriend. I picked him up from After School care yesterday and he says,
Ethan - "Momma, guess what? I have a new girlfriend!"
Me - "Really? What's her name?"
Ethan - "Emily"
Me - "How did you meet Emily?"
Ethan - "She's in my class."
Me - "What does Emily look like? Does she have blonde hair?"
Ethan - "Yes ma'am."
Me - "Like mine?"
Ethan - "No ma'am. It's more like mine."
Me - "oh okay. Are you sweet to Emily?"
Ethan - "Oh yes ma'am."
Me - "You better be"
Ethan - "I am"
Me - "Do you hold the door open for her?"
Ethan - "well, we went to the bathroom at the same time but, the door was already open."
Me - "You better treat her with respect."
Ethan - "Oh I will. Momma, what's respect?"
Boy, I tell ya! They grow up waaaaay too fast. I'm waiting for the period of his life where he thinks girls have cooties. That comes in between this stage and actually wanting to date girls, right?
