Scripture of the day!

Romans 5:1-5

1) Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2) through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3) Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perserverance; 4) perserverance, character; and character, hope. 5) And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us.

30 Minute Meal Recipe

Chicken and Rice Casserole

-makes 13 X 9 dish

Ingredients
-3 or 4 big cans of chicken (you can boil and pull your own chicken)
-1 cup of mayo
-1 cup of shredded cheese (add more if you like)
-1 can cream of chicken soup
-1 or 2 cans of french cut green beans
-1 cup of minute rice (you can do other rice if you prefer)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook your rice as per package. Add all other ingredients together. Add rice. Mix all together and place in a 13 X 9 dish. Bake on 350 for 20 minutes.

I called my sister-in-law, Holly, last night on my way home from work and said, think quick, I need an easy recipe off the top of your head and this is what she spouted off to me. I went to Wal-mart, got all the ingredients that I didn't have and in less than an hour we were eating. I got some dinner rolls to go with it and this made for a very nice, quick, easy meal (very important to me). If you try it let me know how you like it and if you found it as easy as I did.

Proverbs 3:5-8 (NAS)

5) Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6) In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7) Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
8) It will be healing to your body
and refreshment to your bones.

Trusting in the LORD is something I'm working on diligently. I've asked the LORD to help me put my trust in him and I know from the things I've been dealing with that he's in the process of answering my prayers. Every day I'm given challenges where I can practice putting my trust in Him. Satan is out there and he's working hard to steal US away from the LORD. Let's all be diligent in fighting Satan with the help of our Father. We can do ANYTHING through Christ Jesus.
